| Expensive since you can get a practice test from ETS onlineIts a good book in that you do receive a real GRE. However, ETS provides an online practice that has an exam. The best strategy is to take the online (pdf from gre.org) practice test and find out the concentration of questions and your level of comfort with the topics. The fields that you have most difficulty with will require more practice and memorization. After review of this material in your Intro Psych text and other category specific books (Cognitive, Developmental, Personality, Social, Behavioral, Stats and Neuro) take the Book test under timed conditions. The intevening period of time should wash out the information from the online test. Take that again. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! No better way of pumping up your scores. As with most GREs, if you take at least 4 or 5 practice (deliberate practice) tests, you will see that your scores should increase greatly. The stats quesitons on the exam are NOT formidable though a recent stats course would help. You should do fine (if you are a decent Psych undergrad) with a few weeks of review. If you have not had some of the requisite topical courses, you may want to review a little bit further than an Intro Psych text.

| HauntingGreer begins The Confessions of Max Tivoli with the statement "We are all the love of someone's life..." And with that tantalizing opening, Greer begins to unravel the tale, and the life, of Max Tivoli, a man who is born a wizened infant of 70 and then "ages" in reverse. The premise is, of course, far-fetched, but disbelief is suspended in the face of such sensitive and honest characterizations. Not only Max, whose confessions we are reading, but all the characters are portrayed with such depth that we are drawn into the tragedy - hook, line and sinker - even when we know the inevitable outcome.
Seldom have I read of book of such understated intensity. Greer is a marvelous writer who can nail a character with very few words. Like Nabokov, he has the ability to describe a setting with such pinpoint accuracy as to make you feel as if you are present, or perhaps as if you have never truly seen moonlight before. But, best of all, Greer never, ever makes you feel as if you are reading a book. You are reading a life. And in the end, when all the sad obsessions of Max, Alice and Hughie are said and done, you are simply left with the question: Whose life am I the love of?

| Wish I would have found this book firstThis book is great! I've never seen a book with so many styles of fences that would go with so many different types of architecture. I also like how the material and illustrations are presented to allow the reader to easily see and compare the many different styles. The first fence books I bought had a few nice photos with trees and flowers, but, the fences themselves were not that special.
I think it is much easier to see the fences for their own style and appearance the way they are presented in this book. If you are looking for an abundance of design ideas, this book has no equal.
