| all around terrible book.I read 1-2 books a week but this book could not grab my attention. I rarely never not finish a book. I got to page 100 and realized at this rate I would be done with it in a month. I read the epilogue and called it good.
Characters in the story were flat and I could not relate to them. Story line was terrible with no intriguing moments. I hate to say this about Patterson's books but I expected a lot more out of him. Seems to me like he is doing it for the money and he isn't writing most of his novels lately
Might just have to Change authors.
Don'twaste you time or your money. Far, Far better books to consume your time.
Yhe Postcard KillersThe book arrived swiftly and is in great condition, I am totally satisfied with this seller
Not WorthyThis book is not worthy of Patterson . I believe he "dialed this one in". Patterson is thrilling, fast-paced. This book is anything but. I was waiting for this book to get better page after page...it did not, at least not for me. I am a huge Patterson fan and look forward to almost everything he writes. This book, along with "Private", is making me a little wary to buy another Patterson book.
This Audiobook is horrible, very poorThe audiobook of Postcard Killers is a train wreck.
After the huge success of the Millennium Trilogy I can envision Paterson's publisher in a meeting with him:
James, I want a book that
1. Is set in Sweden
2. Features a female lead who is bisexual
3. Takes you only two weeks to write, make that 6 days with a co-author!
Instead of one good reader they employed 3 (three) readers with no apparent reason why one is reading at any given time. it isn't like one represents the woman and the other the man etc. it is just random. Again, it is as if the publisher thought, "we've got to get this book published FAST as Patterson inc. has a dozen more waiting in the wings. No time to narrate the book? OK, how about if we get 3 different readers to read random chapters in 3 studios at the same time, we can get the project done in 1/3 the time!
I listen to a LOT of audiobooks. If you want to hear a fabulous reader, check out the Millennium Trilogy's Simon Vance. Forget his perfect Swedish and perfect English, he really brings life to the characters. In "Postcard Killers" Katherine Kellgren reads her chapters almost hysterically. She over-emotes everything.
I truly disliked this book. Read more...
