At the end of the book, there is a 205 question practice test. I'm an undergrad--I found it really informative to see the kinds of questions I might encounter, which ranged from the familiar to the foreign. This section, in particular, gave me a succinct crash course regarding what I still need to study. There is an additional section with some general advice and information about the application process. Pros: All in all, I feel the book has been really useful in pinning down what I do and do not know. Cons: Summarizes major themes, but does not usually explain them. It's not the end-all--prepare with your textbooks. Very informative. Not terribly good I would suggest reading an intro psych book instead of this. The page numbers in the glossary are often wrong, and this book is the brand new 8th edition? Unbelievable. Many of the definitions are also too generic to be useful.
